I found this dress on clearance for $10 (originally $68) at Marshall's. I fell in love with the shimmery light purple color, which you cannot really see in the photos. Pictures don't do it justice, it's really sweet and innocent. I wasn't at all a fan of the neck trim. I also generally don't wear dresses this length. I either wear them really short for clubbing, or really long (as in maxi dresses).
These alterations couldn't have been easier to do. I simply carefully cut off the collar, and I cut off the last two layers of length. I really want to wear this into the city for a friend's birthday coming up, but I still haven't decided if it's suitable for a night of clubbing. I think if I pair it with lots of bold, black accessories, I might be able to pull it off. I first imagined pairing it with a very chunky black Express necklace, thick black patent leather belt, and a Calvin Klein over-the-shoulder clutch and it might work. I'll post a photo if it does!

I'm all set on luggage!
Found this gorgeous GUESS Aviation collection luggage at TJ Maxx. I couldn't believe my luck. I could tell they had just been put out. It turns out that the trucks for my TJ's come on Thrusday, so on Friday morning all the good stuff's ready to grab. I had changed my mind about the pink rolling duffel so I went back the very next morning to see if they had it in black, and it was ALL gone! That was quick! Needless to say, I'm holding onto my pink duffel for dear life. ;)
GUESS pink rolling duffel - $60 (retail $200)
GUESS black shopper tote - $30 (retail $140)

LUSH UK vs US
This is fascinating to me. Although I've never ordered from them, I'd heard that LUSH U.K. has a lot better quality products (specifically regarding their It's Raining Men), and not to mention they're much cheaper! So I decided to do a lush.co.uk haul, and here was my inventory and total:
Lush U.K. shopping cart
Karma Bubble Bar (1) - $4.00
The Comforter (2) - $10.80
Blue Skies And Fluffy White Clouds (1) - $5.40
Happy Bubble Bar (1) - $3.86
It's Raining Men 500ml (1) - $20.22
Okra 500ml (1) - $17.25
TOTAL: $61.57
Ok. Now just out of curiosity, and to get a better picture of the kind of price differences we're dealing with (and maybe because I have too much time on my hands),I created the same cart on the Lush U.S. website.
Lush U.S. shopping cart
Karma Bubble Bar (1) - $8.45
The Comforter (2) - $19.90
Blue Skies And Fluffy White Clouds (1) - $10.95
Happy Bubble Bar (1) - $6.95
It's Raining Men 500ml (1) - $27.95
Okra 500ml (1) - $29.00
TOTAL: $104.15
Holy smokes.
Their Blue Skies And Fluffy White Clouds is $5.40, while if you buy it at the U.S. site you'll be paying $10.95!! Karma more than doubles in price, too.

LUSH collection
This will be a long post because I love Lush!!
I'll be the first to admit that I have a relatively modest Lush collection. I have never been into bath bombs, bath melts, etc., instead always leaning toward the much more expensive creams, hair care products, and fragrances. I do love their soaps and massage bars, but I find that no matter how I store them (plastic bags, cling wrap) they go bad so quickly! So basically, I only buy products that I know I will use right away.

Ultrabland is something I was disappointed in. It was made out to be a magical product, but really it's just mediocre to me. It doesn't leave my skin with a "clean feeling" at all.
Celestial moisturizer I completely loved at first, thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. But now I'm noticing no real lasting benefits from it. I added a tablespoon of olive oil to it and mixed it in, since I use olive oil all over my skin.
Coconut deodorant powder I've been trying to get away from aluminum for quite some time, and this did it for me. I cannot believe that this powder works better (although doesn't last as long) than regular deodorants! And now that I've been using it for a few months, I can't stand the smell of aluminum deodorants any more - so artificial and nauseating. Definitely a repurchase.
Cynthia Sylvia Stout I'm liking this for my hair, but I'm still trying to determine if it's something to buy again. The smell isn't strong, but it's definitely not pleasant.
Charlotte Island is AMAZING, you must try this is you're a self-tanner!
Black Stockings too, since it's also completely natural looking and long-lasting.
I am loving the newest It's Raining Men shower gel. The first ingredient is honey... so that should tell you something right there! I actually don't need a moisturizer after my showers with this! Smells exactly like Honey I Washed The Kids, but moisturizes much better. Plus, I prefer shower gels anyway! If it truly is limited edition (I heard someone say Lush had just made it part of their permanent line, but I don't know how accurate that is), then I'm going to have to pick me up a bigger bottle ;)
...And this is my cute little current collection of solid soaps! Like I said, I find them too hard to store, and never use them up in time, so I buy them sparingly. From top to bottom, it's Bohemian, Ring of Roses, and Sexy Peel. I adore their lemon scented soaps because I'm all for really strong flavors, and the citrus clears and tones your skin.Lush Gorilla fragrances
A few months ago I was introduced to the Gorilla perfumes at Lush, and I've never gone back. Because they're all made with essential oils, they're much higher quality than most others. Depending on what size you choose, they contain 10%, 15%, and 20% essential oils... whereas traditional perfume is 4-14%. Like so many other products from Lush, I've become spoiled by these fragrances, and now every other brand just smells blah. Breath of God perfume. Oh, deliciousness. I decided this is my new signature scent. It's overthrown my former favorite, Benefit's Something About Sofia. This scent changes throughout the day, is very mature and SFW, but it's probably a love it or hate it type of deal. If you lean toward more masculine scents, then you'll love this.
Dirty body spray is my new love. I wanted to try this as soon as it came out, but was put off by the fact that it was marketed toward men. I took a whif, though, and realized that's crazy! Women can totally wear this - it's a clean, bright, unisex fragrance that smells like you just stepped out of the shower. I've gotten so many compliments while wearing it. ("Mmm, you smell like soap, yum!")
Perfume sample set (limited edition) For only $20, I think this a great deal, especially since there are lots of amazing scents in here. My favorites are Lust, Breath of God, Karma, and Tuca Tuca. There's something for everyone in this set.
I have Tuca Tuca on order already. What is your favorite Lush fragrance?
If you want me to do a more in-depth review of any product, leave a comment and let me know!
